GLOBALINX® IIN

The Inbound International Number is an inbound only number; all outbound calls will be identified by the US DID.

As with all current GLOBALINX® VoIP plans, all voice calling from GLOBALINX®-to-GLOBALINX® (on-net) will not incur any usage charges.

The Inbound International Number enhancement will allow specific call flows. The example below explains how the service works for a customer with a US DID on a DTA and a UK DID set up as a virtual number:

  • Customer may dial any number, globally, using the DTA. The jurisdiction of that call will always be US originated.
  • Calls, then from the DTA to UK will be international calls, even if the DTA is physically located in the UK. Indeed, calls from the DTA to the same customer’s UK cell phone will incur mobile charges assessed by GLOBALINX®.
  • Customer may give family and friends either or both numbers, the US DID and the UK DID.
  • UK callers dialing the UK DID on the DTA will not pay international rates to talk to the GLOBALINX® customer.
  • US callers dialing the US DID on the DTA will not pay international rates to talk to the GLOBALINX® customer.
  • The GLOBALINX® customer will not pay to receive calls from any caller.
  • The GLOBALINX® customer’s local calling area will be defined by the ANI of the US DID.
  • The GLOBALINX® customer’s 911 address will also be defined by the ANI of the US DID.

Newsflash

Yesterday all servers in the U.S. went out on strike in a bid to get more RAM and better CPUs. A spokes person said that the need for better RAM was due to some fool increasing the front-side bus speed. In future, buses will be told to slow down in residential motherboards.
